I'm Cortney and this is my boyfriend Jason. We made this blog to chronicle our adventures in our new house! We have been busy with home buying, home renovating, and attempting some DIY projects. We are hoping this will be a fun way to share the transformation and projects with family and friends that aren't able to see it in person!
I am 100% a planner. Jason, on the other hand, not so much. I was looking for a blog title that would perfectly blend the two of us together and that is when I came up with Planning It By Ear. I have a ton of lists going for our house: things to buy, big things to do, little things to do, paint colors, what to do in each room, etc. It is a little excessive but I love crossing things off! Jason does not make lists. Ever. He is more of a let's wing it kind of guy.
All of our Home Depot or Lowe's trips in the last 2 weeks have gone a little something like this...
Cortney: Should we make a list?
Jason: No, I have it all in my head.
OR
Cortney: Let's measure before we go.
Jason: Nah, I've got it.
Needless to say, we are complete opposites when it comes to planning but it works! We hope you enjoy reading about all of our home projects!
